Comic-Con: WonderGirl Fights Child Hunger
San Diego, CA – July 21st, 2017 At pop culture shows and especially at the mothership event, Comic-Con International, I am always on the lookout for passionate expressions of fandom. In the vast sea of franchise spectacle it’s those heartfelt and homespun efforts I enjoy seeing most. So you can imagine my delight when I came across this little Wonder Girl in the Gaslamp Quarter district outside the convention hall selling “Child Hunger Sucks” lollipops to raise money for homeless children. Out of all the great Comic-Con moments of this past weekend, her daunted by the heat and tough crowds but determined to make a difference was my favorite. A true Wonder Girl in action
